A Tow package in the most basic terms is a complete system of pneumatic components that allow your truck to increase its payload capacity. It also allows for a safer ride while towing extremely heavy loads. Tow packages are often customized depending on the customers requirements as well as the vehicle they will be installed onto. Truck Tow Kits can easily enhance the vehicles overall performance and are considered as an upgrade for increasing your overall towing capabilities.
Most of the tow kits on the market are reverse engineered for easy installation using OEM Specifications. They also enhance the total axle capacity by hundreds if not thousands of additional pounds of towing capability. These systems ensure you never have to deal with an uneven unsafe ride as you tow your trailer across town or on an extended holiday.

Load leveling helper kits also known as Air ride tow kits adds more reliability in terms of payload capacity as well as leveling the truck for a seamless ride while on the highway. All Air helper kits are packed with a manual fit kit that allow you to fill your tow kit with a stand alone air compressor. Air management systems can be integrated with the kit to offer cab controls for the ultimate convenience factor. These load assist airbag systems are built for many different applications including SUVs, pickup trucks, cars, campers, cab and chassis trucks and more! You can connect with an X2 Industries expert to get a customized tow kit for your truck exactly the way you want it.

Increase Load Capacity and Increase Safety while on the road!

Several aspects of the vehicle including the frame, engine, suspension, transmission, and cooling system must be ready for handling towing. Each part of the tow package must add to the overall towing capabilities for the complete vehicle setup. Towing packages may include different parts depending on the application as well as the total added capacity the kit is providing. There are so many other components that are needed when it comes to being safe and offering a great tow kit on your truck. Once of which is a hitch which seamlessly connects to your vehicle frame and accepts the receiver for mounting your ball.
The hitch in its raw is a heavy-duty square tube that spans your frame section and mounts into place usually under your frame. There are also tow hooks, and a female receiver connection for a complete hitch setup. Towing packages with helper air ride kits as well as hitch kits are a fundamental part of traveling with a trailer, boat or any other toys you decide to take cross country. Don’t forget to wire up lighting for things like the turn signal, brake lights, reverse lights, and license plate lights to ensure the trailer is ready for the road.

When you get to the point of deciding what you will be towing and how heavy it is you will then have a better understanding of what may need to be upgraded on your truck. In extreme cases adding more power and performance in addition to the suspension upgrades can deliver a much more reliable outcome. Suspension on the rear end also adds more control on setting the horizontal towing level. Brake upgrades are another significant part of building truck that will have the ability of 10000lb loads. Air Suspension systems are an advanced quick, and precision-based technology that offers highly sophisticated pneumatical, mechanical and electronic control systems for enhancing the height and ride quality in just about any passenger or commercial vehicle.

An Air Suspension system consists of several parts that include airbags which replace the factory coil springs in the vehicles original mounting location. Bags utilize inflation to provide lift, drop and maintain certain pressures during or while driving. This pressure comes from a system of compressors and tank which maintain a pre-set pressure in the air tank. The air tank then feeds air to the air manifold or valves. The role of these valves is to direct air in and out of your air springs.

Airlines are routed between all components usually running along the frame of the vehicle and ultimately ending at the bag. Our premium DOT approved dual walled nylon reinforced lines have a composition of rubber or polyurethane and can be connected directly to the tanks, valves and bags or adapted to custom steel lines that have a cleaner look with the rugged overall construction.

And a remote control or a smartphone app that empowers the user to manage the front and rear ride heights as per their comfort. Traditionally the more air pumped into the air bags the stiffer the ride quality, the less air pressure will offer a smoother ride.

Here are the pros and cons of Aftermarket Air Suspension Systems.

Pros

Comfortable ride and ride height adjustment are two of the essential benefits of using an Air Suspension system. With most vehicle applications you will enjoy a smoother ride and have the ability to adjust this ride quality as needed. You can increase the height to add a firm feel or lower the height and pressure to get a super comfortable and floating like comfort level.

This height adjustability allows you to maneuver steep inclines, speedbumps or any other obstacles you may encounter while on the road.

The other very important aspect of air suspension is it’s load baring capabilities. In almost all vehicles the overall axle capacities are increased by at least 50% and are able to retain the height keeping you level and safe on the road. Some of the larger air systems for the F350 / 450 are capable of 20k lbs of load over the axle.

Cons

In the earlier days, air suspension systems were quite complex and rigid. But with advanced technology and precision-based development has made the whole process optimized to provide more performance with an air suspension system.

Invasive Installation process: Your vehicle may need a more complex installation process. Cutting, drilling and welding can be required to install these systems on some cars, trucks and SUV’s. Many of the later model vehicle air suspension kits are packed with bolt-on hardware to make installation factory fit non-abrasive.

Cost can also be one of the main disadvantages of custom aftermarket air ride. Depending on the vehicle and the system you are looking for the price tag can range dramatically. We have done our very best to keep costs extremely competitive for the customer that does not mind getting there hands a bit dirty.

Many late model vehicles come packed with factory accessories. These are called Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) accessories or the factory installed accessory parts which are tested and provided as upgrades when the vehicle is purchased. There are thousands of aftermarket custom accessory enhancements that you can add and that are manufactured by third-party organizations. All accessories other than OEM are simply termed as aftermarket auto accessories or custom automotive accessories. There are endless possibilities with these enhancements. Almost any part of the vehicle can be customized to offer additional performance, functionality, and can change the overall look of the vehicle.

Most factory installed accessories are limited by manufacturing cost, regulations and warranties while aftermarket products available for those who want something different. Aftermarket accessories are primarily known to enhance your vehicle by either changing the way your vehicle functions from the factory, or changes the look of the vehicle. Aftermarket accessories also add style, color, and can even increase the luxury of the vehicle. These parts give unique value and identity to your car, truck, or SUVs.

Most of the aftermarket auto accessories and parts also follow general regulations, or they may also provide disclaimers stating that the parts should only be installed for off road use only. Either way many consumers of aftermarket parts and accessories will still use these parts for on road purposes. Depending on the local authorities there could be hefty fines for certain customizations without following local regulations. Also these aftermarket products can void the vehicles manufacturers warranties, so be sure to check with your dealer as to what is acceptable.

A suspension system is designed to absorb the shocks, vibrations and any impact for making your ride smooth on rough surfaces. Suspensions are an important part of the vehicle with their numerous benefits that allow the smooth movement along the road. To understand the whole structure there are two basic spring and dampening mechanism. Springs absorbs the whole pressure as the vehicle moves along the road with three main types as Coil springs, leaf springs and torsion springs. As the springs absorb energy Dampening mechanism dissipates this energy otherwise the vehicle would move up and down with every bump along with the road. Here are a few of the main types of suspension system available in the market used all over the world in building modern day vehicles.

Dependant Suspension System

In this type of suspension system, the movement of the tire is dependent on each other with beam axle designs. There are basically two axles with one called as live axle has powered wheels and dead axle with free spinning wheels. Movement of the vehicle forces these tires to move in the same angle to each other, not to the surface of the road causing issues in handling.

Independent Suspension System

It is the modern way of using a suspension system in which each wheel has the capability to move on its independently. Today’s car manufacturers prefer this design as the wheel moves up and down with the help of shock absorbers and springs being bolted to a metal frame that connects the suspension to the chassis. This whole structure allows better control of the wheels with their alignment ensuring the smooth operation of the ride.

Double Wishbone is also quite popular with its A Shape design with two wishbones like structure. Connected with the wheel this system comes with two mounting positions. One at the wheel and second at the vehicle’s frame with a specialized coil sprung and shock absorber. This structure is most commonly used in large cars as they aid in minimizing sway in achieving greater consistency while steering. There are multiple types of wishbone mechanism used in cars with Sedan, A4 and A8 Audi etc for a smooth ride with this complex design.

McPherson Suspension struts are a single cohesive unit used by European brands with shock absorber built inside coil spring to act as one complete strut assembly. Trailing Arm suspension is similar to wishbone with separate suspension arms that connect to the chassis of the vehicle with a traditional style system. In Twin I-Beam suspension have combinations of solid beam axle split in two with trailing arm which eliminates issues of the dependent system as a whole. There are also many dependent (solid axle style rear suspension systems) which would require different hardware like trialing arms, 4-link bars, heim joints, notch kits and more.

At X2 Industries we have the foremost leading company for providing original quality suspension and customized suspension kits for your vehicle along with multiple accessories to complement the comfort in your ride. We cover almost all top brands of cars and truck available in the industry today with worldwide delivery of our products.
