Recent developments in LED technology have made it possible for LED light bulbs to be competitive in the home and commercial lighting markets. Plasmaglow is on the leading edge of this technology with their 5-Watt LED Light Bulb, which emits as much light as a standard 50-watt bulb but only uses 10% of the power. They are also mercury-free, unlike less efficient Spiral CFL Bulbs.
Not only are these bulbs cheaper to operate, but they outlast standard bulbs with a 50-Year Life under normal use. This increase is due to the high efficiency of LED technology, which reduces the amount of waste energy that is released as heat.
Plasmaglow has perfected this technology to produce the only LED bulbs that are dimmable and are available in 2 kinds of light; warm white for living areas and cool white for reading or working where color really matters.
